Russiagate is nothing but a neoliberal propaganda effort to keep Americans from paying attention to the fact that it is used as an answer to everything. It has been used as an accusation against Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein, Ajamu Baraka, Black Lives Matter, the Fight For 15, Medicare For All and more.
Now ask yourself who profits from Russiagate. Rachel Maddow, who gets paid $30,000 a day to spout Russia up to 58 times in one broadcast? (Counted and documented.) How about the neoliberal media in general, who hosts advertising for Boeing, Raytheon and Northrup? Can you name a single time they have opposed any military incursion in your lifetime? I can’t.
How do you feel about the pending US invasion of Venezuela?
How many countries is Russia bombing right now? They are supporting Syria and Donbass against aggressors. How many countries is the US bombing? Eight. How many military bases does Russia have outside their borders? 8. How many does the US acknowledge having (not counting black sites)? Over 800. So that’s 100:1.
For a country trying to dominate the US, Russia is doing a crap job of it. They spend 6% of the official US military budget. And have decreased their military spending for the third year in a row. Meanwhile, they have a debt to GDP ratio of about 14%. Ours is 108%. (Higher is definitely worse. It means we owe more than we make as a nation.) As we approach $22 trillion in debt within days, Russia has announced a budget surplus for the second year in a row. While they have universal healthcare and we do not.
Do you realize that certain things are not in our “defense” budget which should be? Upgrading existing nukes, CIA, NSA, FBI and VA funding. Add those to the official “defense” budget and you find that we spend more money on “defense” than every other country on earth combined.
Tell me again. Who is the aggressive party here? Who is spreading propaganda?
