Thing to remember is that Russia and China are now military allies, the anti-NATO, anti-US hegemony. Thus an attack on one is an attack on both at once.

Along with them will come Iran, North Korea, Turkey and all the other countries constantly threatened by the US. At this point, it may also include much of South America.
