Several big issues here.
One is that since this fight began, Huawei’s sales have increased, not decreased.
Second, if Google loses that market, it does as much or more damage to US companies as a whole than it does to Huawei.
Huawei holds over 200 patents being used by US telecom companies free of charge. If they deny use, those companies have to develop 200 programs, not just one.
To go further, China could very well place an embargo on rare earth minerals, so that would affect basically all electronics in the west from thermometers to satellites and fighter jets. It would take years to develop new sources, as even US mining companies send raw material to China for processing of those minerals.
Time to stop acting like Huawei/China are on the ropes. It’s pretty much the other way around.
