It will not matter at all who they choose. Note I state clearly who they choose because that choice will be made months before primaries begin and we know it. They will not allow a Progressive to take the lead under any circumstances and that would be their singular hope of winning.

They are not going to move left in real terms and they will actively oppose any leftist candidate, no matter how popular that candidate is.
