Immigration

Working on some policies is far more complex than others. Immigration is one of the most complex issues to consider for many reasons. I know it is far easier for members or candidates of the two major parties, as they are expected to toe party lines or adhere to certain expectations of their respective general constituents. Yet even the constituents have been led into their current views over many years by certain interests that have spent huge amounts of money and hired experts to convince people to be as divided as possible. Where I am concerned, it is a more difficult challenge, as I do not fall in completely with either party. Instead, achieving a rational balance is most desirable. I have no intent to deceive anyone for the sake of a special interest vote, nor do I have any desire to capitalize on racial or cultural hatred. What makes a balanced approach on this subject even more difficult is not only the times we have been living through but the times we are now entering.

Let me start off simply by stating that I am not in favor of open borders. Nor am I in favor of sealing our borders.
