I don’t dismiss anything at all. I am saying that we are not in any position to be making ethical judgments and absolutely no action.

Think about what point you are making. Think about what this can lead to. Think it would be any different than Libya? Chile? What we are doing in Venezuela right this minute?

My point is that if we cannot openly recognize and address the intentional inequities and offenses of our government, we have no right to criticize other governments. We’ve caused more suffering and deaths than any government in all of history. And that’s in just the last 18 years.
